Our Latest Project

Chris Stadnyk's Kidney Foundation Fundraiser

This custom coin was designed to celebrate and support Chris Stadnyk in his ongoing battle with kidney disease. In January of this year (2023), Chris was blessed to receive life changing kidney transplant surgery.  And as part of his journey, Chris is giving back to the system that gave him so much by running a triples tournament at the Heritage LBC on Saturday August 12th. We at the Coin Toss Shop are excited to sponsor this great event.

Project One

Windsor Lawn Bowling Club (The project that started it all)

This custom coin was designed to commemorate the Windsor Lawn Bowling Club's new logo and to provide each member with an exclusive Heads or Tails coin. These coins are intended to be used at the start of every lawn bowling game to decide which team will go first.

The previous club logo was in need of a complete redesign and we created a more current and up to date look for the club. The mustard yellow and military green colours of the old logo were replaced by red, black, white and grey using Windsor's iconic Ambassador Bridge as motivation to ensure visitors remember the location of this world class facility. The club's coin can be seen below the logo images.

Project Two

Woodstock Lawn Bowling Club

The Woodstock Lawn Bowling Club was looking to make some custom collectible coins for their members. In the process of design we started looking at ways to refresh their older looking logo. One bowler (Mark Lucier) noticed that the old design looked like an alien wearing a turban, and said "Once you see it, you can't see anything else". In the process of creating an updated look for their logo on a coin, a new logo was born. This new logo was given to Woodstock as a thank you gift for their purchase of our exclusive coins.

Coins were designed for the Woodstock Lawn Bowling Club that proudly feature their new logo. The club planned to provide each member of their club with one to start the 2022 season when they paid their annual membership dues. The club plans to sell coins to the general public when they attend one of their tournaments and to also add some coins to their tournament prize pools for tournament winners. In the end, Woodstock decided to make two different coins for their club (as seen below). See Jim or Sue Roth if you'd like to buy one!

Project Three

Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club

Davie Mathie originally expressed interest in our coins, when it was suggested that we mock something up for him to consider. The club's current logo was of such low quality that we needed to redesign it. In the end, the decision makers at the Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowling Club were so excited by the new design that they adopted it as their new club logo.

This custom coin was designed for the Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club and featured this new logo. The club plans to use them for many purposes in the coming year. Juan de Fuca is hosting the National Championships this year at their club, August 18th - 26th, 2023, so those in attendance will likely be able to buy one.

Additional logo work was requested by the club to design a black and white version of this new logo. All of our logo work was donated to the Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club as a thank you for their purchase of our FLIPPER coins. Below you can see the club's old logo (far left) and the new artwork and logos to the right.

The new club coin design can be seen below the logos.

Project Four

Canadian Commonwealth Games Training Camp

This custom coin was designed for the 2022 Canadian Commonwealth Games Training Camp which was held in Windsor, ON. These coins were intended to provide a unique collectible for all the Team Canada members,  volunteers and support staff attending the selection camp. These coins were donated free of charge by the Coin Toss Shop.

Another small order of  these same coins were anonymously purchased and given to the qualifying members and coaches of Team Canada with the intent that they could give them away to fellow competitors at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.  We at the Coin Toss Shop are very excited to know that our coins have made their way into the hands, pockets and bowls bags of some of the world's greatest lawn bowlers.

These coins featured the club name, the club's website and text in both French and English. The coins were approved for use by the governing body of lawn bowling in Canada, Bowls Canada Boulingrin

Each qualifier and volunteer received one of these exclusive Heads or Tails coin as a keepsake to commemorate this event.

Project Six

Etobicoke Lawn Bowling Club

This custom coin was designed for the Etobicoke Lawn Bowling Club featuring their club logo and the OLBA's

"Give it a try" logo. The club has commissioned these coins for the Etobicoke Lawn Bowling Club in advance of their 100th Anniversary in 2025.

The governing body of lawn bowling in Ontario (the OLBA) has a policy that states;

Any club using the "Give it a try" logo for advertising purposes, will be reimbursed by the OLBA for 75% of all costs, to a maximum limit of $500 per year.

Several clubs in Ontario have already taken advantage of this policy to create their own custom collectible coins.

Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club

This custom coin was designed for the Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club featuring an updated club logo on one side and and the OLBA's "Give it a try" logo on the other. We envisioned a new logo that celebrated the club's location  and the beaver found at the top their old logo. The club commissioned these coins for the Lindsay Lawn Bowling Club for the coming years.  Be sure to ask Rhys if he has one that he can sell you.
